Call to Worship:
Reading: Matthew Ch 7 v15-29 read by Debbie
“The Wise and Foolish Builders”
Prayer: Pray over what you have heard through the devotional today. Examine your heart where you are placing your trust and hope. Ask the Lord that if we profess to follow Jesus, we will be found faithful before him, resolving this year to listen to his words and obey them. Pray for a greater hunger to know God’s Word and grow as a Christian. Pray for one another as a congregation that through these troubling times and by love, unity and faith we will stand together on the one foundation of Jesus Christ our Lord. Pray for our witness as professing Christians and as a Church to others that there is a Rock in Jesus they too can build on. Remember in prayer those caring for others in, and those greatly affected by, the pandemic. Psalm 46 v6 says nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall”. As we pray for America and what we have seen happen during the week, so we pray for our world in turmoil, who need to know the living and eternal hope to be found in Christ as the true Rock.
Blessing: “To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority through Jesus Christ our Lord before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen (Jude v24)
