Paul’s Thanksgiving Prayer for Philemon
Prayer: Pray over what you have heard: Give thanks to the Lord for someone you know who has been an encouragement and example to you in your faith in Christ. Pray that we may grow spiritually to be like Philemon, and be a model and encouragement to others in the fellowship. Pray for someone that you can contact this week and phone/write/email/text practically a thank you for “refreshing your heart”. Pray for someone you know who is like Onesimus that they may, by God’s grace through us hear, or perhaps from another source the gospel and come to a living faith in Christ, and seek a church family to belong. Pray for one another as we are called to do and the need for wisdom, love and patience, even more so this week in making preparations with all the constraints to gather again as Trinity next Sunday. Pray for the schools in Renfrew as they start back and the families, teachers and helpers in our congregation in these early days of returning.
Blessing: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit” Philemon v25
