Yield not to Temptation

 

Living a Fruitful Life: The Fruit of the Spirit (8): “Self-Control” 

 

 

Prayer: Pray over what you have heard: Pray asking the Holy Spirit to gift us the fruit of Self-Control as a Christian in our life. Pray over and confess which areas of our life we fight with self-control right now. Look back and give thanks to God for those times when we have won small victories in the struggle to put Him before ourselves. Paul encouraged the Philippians “ Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things. (Phil 4 v8) Ask the Lord to give a sense of purpose and discipline to know Him better that we may serve Him better. Pray for those whose lives and families have been affected by addictions, remembering those who seek to help them. Pray for those in our Church Family who are worried and anxious for themselves or for others. Pray for the Office Bearers and Task Group seeking to put the extensive regulations in place in order for us to gather again. Please pray for the family of Gavin Campbell who sadly passed away this week.

 

Stand up Stand up for Jesus

 

Blessing: Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
