Sunday 27 December

Call to Worship:

Hark the Herald Angels Sing

Children’s Story: “Gifts for Baby Jesus”

Children’s Chorus: Come and join the celebration

Reading: Matthew Ch 2 v1-12

Joy has dawned upon the world

“O Come let us adore Him Christ the Lord”

Silent Night

Pray over what you have heard: Give thanks for the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pray that in Renfrew as well as elsewhere, there would be those over Christmas and in the days to come, who will be like the wise men, coming to know more about Christ and who will come to worship him. Ask the Lord to open our heart to his grace, that we may adore Jesus as our King than know merely about Jesus. Pray for each other as a church through this time of being unable to meet and worship in person together and as freely as we want. Remember those who are fearful with life or the virus, or who are struggling with their mental health and isolation over Christmas and New Year. Pray for the work of the Scottish Bible Society and Bible Societies around the world to bring God’s Word to all nations and peoples. Pray for the family of George Forshaw who died on Christmas Eve.

As with gladness men of old

Blessing: “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you Amen.”
