Sunday 28th June

Call to worship: “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews Ch 10 v23

Standing on the promises of God

Prayer: Come to the Lord who is God, who is the Holy One, and who is gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love. Praise Him for the Lord keeps His promises. Thank Him for the long awaited promise in the coming of Jesus, His Son, The Messiah, which God’s servants, the prophets said would come. Thank Him for the new life offered to us in Jesus, who lived, died, rose again, reigns in glory and will come again. For the promises of sin forgiven, of His Peace and of the Holy Spirit to help and teach us how to follow Christ. Pray confessing that we fail to remember his promises to us and forget in thankfulness for all that He has done for us, to keep our promises to Him. Pray for forgiveness for our hearts which offer Him half-hearted discipleship. Give thanks for the promise through living faith we belong to Jesus and as living stones are joined together as He builds His Church on Himself the Cornerstone . Pray today through Gods Word and this devotional we may keep in step with the Spirit and be drawn closer to Him. Amen

Pray as we await being able to meet together as Church again that we would display Christian love, joy, peace and patience through us individually and collectively as we serve Jesus. Pray for the family and community of Gallowhill following the tragic fire which killed three children and injured the Mother. The end of the School Year should have taken place. Pray for young families in the congregation and those we may know who have had to contend with missing so much of their normal school routine.
