Sunday 4 October

Introit:

Crown Him with many crowns

Children’s Story

Children’s Chorus: Be bold

Reading: John Ch 6 v16-24 read by Margaret

When I fear my faith will fail

Follow the Signs to Jesus: The signs in John’s Gospel: (5): “A sign in stormy times”

Pray over what you have heard:

Give thanks for the Lord Jesus. Bring in prayer to God the things which are causing you fear, worry and anxiety today. Pray we may have listened to God’s Word to us and know that as His disciples He knows all about us, and to trust Him completely. Ask God that He may use us in this time of general fear to help others and tell them about our hope in Christ. Pray if we are those who confess to follow Jesus and belong to His Church, that this testing we are all going through will make not only our own faith in the Lord stronger, but the unity, love and fellowship with one another stronger. (1 Peter Ch 1 v 6-7) Pray for Junior Church as it meets virtually today.

Scottish Bible Society Prayer diary for October 4th: The Bible Society of Uruguay is working with churches to provide free Grow and Learn materials for children and training for Sunday School Teachers. Pray that through these resources God’s Word may take root and produce fruit in young lives.

Remember and uphold the family of Heather McHale one of our members who has died.

When peace like a river

Blessing:

“Remember Jesus promise and command “It is I don’t be afraid”, and may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.” Amen
